Sue and I were married on August 8th 2008 in St. George, Utah. We had a busy week leading up to our big day. All of our children were present and they had a chance to meet each other. That's quite the accomplishment since our 7 kids live in 6 states.
We were able to enjoy a great family dinner together the night before the wedding at the Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Silver Reef Utah. Our friend and chef/owner, Imi Kun did a wonderful job of putting the dinner together for us.
We had a beautiful wedding service that was performed by our Bishop, Bishop Devon Slack of the LDS church. We had around 100 of our family and friends in attendance and it was a very beautiful service . It was followed immediately by a reception that was held in the cultural hall.
We are so grateful for all of the love and support that we received from our family and friends.
Tina, Sue's daughter made these awesome flower arrangements that were used during the wedding and as centerpieces at the reception. Kari, another one of Sue's daughters took charge of the preparations for the reception. What would we have done without these guys.
Our honeymoon started with two days in Las Vegas at the Stratosphere where we had a nice suite reserved. WE ate dinner at the Top of the World restaurant then followed it up by seeing Jay Leno at the Mirage. The show was great.
Then it was off to the Island of Oahu for 10 days of fun in the sun. We stayed extremely busy but were also able to work in some R&R on occasion :o)
We toured the entire island to get a lay of the land and visited Waimea Falls...should have been Waimea "trickle" since that's all it was this time because of a general lack of water.
We visited the Polynesian Cultural Center and enjoyed a great Luau and Polynesian heritage show.
We visited Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri Memorial....very awe inspiring.
We did visited the Hawaii LDS Temple and were able to join my good friends, the Adams, for a session and dinner afterward. It was nice for Sue to be able to meet my good friends.
We hiked Diamond (very tough) and were rewarded with a great view of Waikiki. After that we drove to the Dole Pineapple plantation which was really nice. Beautiful gardens and lots of local history,
We rented a Lotus Exige S sports car for a day and took it all over the island. It was so funny. I bet we were stopped by at least 30 people wanting to take their pictures with the car. Everywhere we went we were stopped by people asking us about the car....too funny. It was like riding in a 190hp go cart....lots of fun to drive but you could feel every rock in the road...we had a blast.
We were able to swim with Dolphins at the Sea Life Park...Sue really enjoyed this a lot (so did I)
The park is like a nice little mini sea-world.
I took Sue snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, which is like snorkeling in a fishbowl. I am so proud of her. It took her about 15 minutes to get used to breathing through the snorkel...then she was an old pro. We saw so many fish it was awesome.
We had many great meals while we were there, but we kind of ended our visit with a sunset dinner cruise that was spectacular.
The trip home was uneventful and we stayed one more day in Las Vegas before we returned to reality.

We are now settling into our lives together and all is well. Thanks to everyone who has loved and supported us throughout our new journey thus far. We plan to keep our blog up to date so stay in touch with us as our lives go on.
